Audioslave tiring of break-up rumors

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- The members of Audioslave hope the release of their third album will help quell breakup rumors.

The appearance of "Revelations" has been accompanied by reports it will be the last from the quartet, comprised of former members of Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine. Guitarist Tom Morello denies that's the case, noting "since about the third month of Rage Against the machine, there's always been a breakup rumor in the wind."

Instead, he says, Audioslave is proud of its prolific output, which also includes the 2005 concert CD/DVD "Live in Cuba."

"We've tried to do like some of our favorite bands, like Led Zeppelin, did," Morello said, "when you're at the height of your rock powers, to record a lot of rock. By making records at a year-per-album pace I think we've been able to do that."

Audioslave plans to tour again in 2007, after frontman Chris Cornell records a solo album and also releases "You Know My Name," the main title song he created for the upcoming remake of the James Bond film "Casino Royale."
