The star of "Saving Private Ryan" and comedian known for adult-themed nursery rhymes follow in the footsteps of wrestler Hulk Hogan, rapper Flavor Flav and former child actors Danny Bonaduce and Christopher Knight.
Daily Variety noted the so-called "celebreality" programming helped put the shine back on some fading stars and brought new viewers to VH1, which began primarily as a music video channel.
Flavor Flav's "Flavor of Love" recently broke VH1's ratings record by drawing in over 6 million viewers to its season finale. The show is now in its second season with the rapper still seeking a potential bride.
