LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is venturing back into the world of the supernatural with "Addicted," a remake of the South Korean film "Jungdok."

The Joel Bergvall and Simon Sandquist-directed film focuses on the unusual premise that a woman's brother-in-law wakes from a coma claiming he is her husband, Zap2it.com reported.

Gellar, who rose to fame as TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," faced off against the forces of evil in the upcoming film "The Return" and both cinematic pairs of "Scooby Doo" and "The Grudge."

Gellar took a respite from the supernatural with the film "Southland Tales," which recently premiered at Cannes Film Festival, and will do so again in the film adaptation of Melissa Banks' best-selling novel, "The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing."
