LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Katalyst Films and NBC are plotting a new reality TV series that will send actors to crash the nuptials of unsuspecting couples.
The stars of the the popular "Wedding Crashers" film won't be involved in NBC's "The Real Wedding Crashers," but other actors will emulate their characters and attend weddings they are not invited to, Zap2it.com reported.
"Everyone loved 'Wedding Crashers,' and we wanted to see if we could capture that same kind of inspired frivolity in a real-life series," NBC's Craig Plestis told the Web site.
Among the show's producers is Ashton Kutcher, a seasoned prankster due to his MTV reality show, "Punk'd."
NBC did not announce a start date for the new show.
