Minted last year at the British Royal Mint in London, the coins are made of silver and gold, and are currently being sold for $1,000 each, the Jamaica Gleaner reported.
The currency is the second minted coin for the reggae singer, song writer and guitarist, who died in 1981 of cancer at age 36.
The coins can be purchased from the banking department of the Bank of Jamaica. It was not known how many were available, the Gleaner said.
