Dan Rather's tribute may be in danger

NEW YORK, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A one-hour TV tribute to former CBS anchorman Dan Rather may be in danger of being pushed back into the wee hours of the morning in his hometown of New York.

The tribute is scheduled to air next Friday but will be pre-empted by a pre-season Jets game which is expected to run until 10 p.m., the New York Post reported Wednesday.

WCBS officials say the tribute will probably air after the game, but if the game goes into overtime the tribute may be pushed back until after CBS's late night schedule.
