NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Haylie Duff describes simultaneously acting in the TV show, "7th Heaven," and the Broadway musical, "Hairspray," as an intense, but satisfying experience.
"I love it," the 21-year-old singer/actress told reporters in New York recently.
"('Hairspray') is exhilarating and different than anything that I'd done before and I'm doing the new season of '7th Heaven,' at the same time. So, it's a little intense," she said.
"But the show ('Hairspray') itself is so much fun. You can be so tired and worn out and then, at the end of the day, the minute that music starts, there is this energy that is undeniable. Anyone who has seen that show gets what I'm talking about. It's a really special group of people and the whole show is really magical."
Duff plays Amber Von Tussle in the musical and can also be seen now in the big-screen comedy, "Material Girls."
