Justin Timberlake bans Lindsay Lohan

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- The now solo artist Justin Timberlake has banned Lindsay Lohan from his showcase concert in Los Angeles, Teen People magazine said Friday.

He doesn't want the film actress stealing his limelight, the magazine said.

Timberlake plans to perform material from his new solo album "Futuresex/lovesounds," and he doesn't want Lohan's sometimes outrageous behavior to steal his headlines, Britain's The Sun said.

An industry insider told Teen People, "Justin's gig at the House Of Blues will be packed with Hollywood A-listers and a lot of important names in music.

"The last thing his label wants is Lindsay getting drunk and making a spectacle of herself, taking attention away from Justin and his new album," the source said.

"He has a lot riding on his big comeback and doesn't need any distractions," said the insider.

Ebert has more surgery

CHICAGO, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Movie critic Roger Ebert remains in the hospital after a third operation in a Chicago hospital.

Ebert, who is being treated for salivary cancer, was hospitalized in June.

The Los Angeles Times reports there is talk in Hollywood that part of Ebert's jaw was removed in his most recent surgery, although the critic's wife called the procedure "minor."

Ebert is the critic for the Chicago Sun-Times and also appears on television on the syndicated "Ebert and Roeper Show."

Gwynne Thomas, an executive for Buena Vista, which syndicates the show, said Ebert is unable to talk at the moment. But she described him as alert and cheerful.

"I know he's going to come back," she told the Times. "He is the same old Roger. The guy is indefatigable. He's turned his hospital room into a screening room and is making jokes and flirting."
