British hosts scramble to pamper P. Diddy

LONDON, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Officials at Radio 1, the Duchess Palace and London's MTV studios struggled to meet visiting mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' extravagant requests, a report says.

The Mirror said as part of Combs' recent British visit to launch his new album and do a radio interview, the music tycoon had a number of lavish requests that his hosts were unable to fully accommodate.

After arriving Sunday, Combs and his 15-person entourage were met by a requested $568,000 bulletproof Maybach car, which delivered them to the exclusive Soho Hotel, the newspaper said.

When Combs arrived for his Radio 1 interview Monday, he was visibly distraught that the lavish spread of food laid out for him was partnered with polystyrene plates, a no-no on his proffered list of demands, the Mirror reported.

Combs then visited the city's MTV studios where he demanded bottles of Grey Goose vodka and sweets, the newspaper said, before checking his reflection in a mirror he had required his assistant to carry.

Finally he let loose that night at his nearly $95,000 party in the Duchess Palace for the release of his album "Press Play," an event in which Combs had banned Cristal champagne, the newspaper said.
