LONDON, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Rolling Stone Mick Jagger belted out songs for 35 years without ever doing warm-up vocalizing, but at 63, the British rock star took some voice lessons.
"I always tell these younger singers 'I never used to do it either but you should,'" Jagger said.
"Better late than never," he told Ben Jones at Virgin Radio.
The rock icon said when you sing for long periods of time, your voice gets tired, just like anything else -- and " ... that's why you have to warm up properly."
"I just learnt that so that's probably helped me," the Daily Mail reported.
Jagger, who turned 63 last month, said his new vocal regimen doesn't have much to do with age. Young people have problems with their voices too, he said.
