SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Comedian Dave Chappelle, who quit his hit Comedy Central series in 2005, is kicking off a month-long, cross-country stand-up tour starting in Norfolk, Va.
Chappelle just finished a sold-out run at San Francisco's Punch Line, Pollstar reported. Plans call for him to head to the East coast to begin a road trip to a dozen cities -- including Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toronto and Atlantic City, N.J.
Chappelle toured Florida earlier this year as well.
In an interview on "Inside the Actors Studio" on the Bravo cable channel, Chappelle said he likes being back on stage, doing live comedy.
"I get real happy (on stage)," Chappelle told "Studio" host James Lipton. "Maybe that's the only time in my adult life I feel like myself."
