LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Rapper Dr. Dre and music mogul Jimmy Iovine have filed suit against a Delaware company over an agreement they had regarding "Beats by Dr. Dre" headphones.
The lawsuit alleges that SLS International, Jibe Audio, Pentgram Design Inc. and Steve Lamar failed to honor an agreement they had with "The Chronic" musician and Iovine to "manufacture, market and distribute a line of headphones" with the given marketing title, TMZ.com said.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, also alleges that the named parties made plans to distribute the trademark headphones through a different company.
The Web site reported that the two musical heavyweights' lawsuit is requesting an injunction on any future distribution or sales of the "Beats" headphones, along with financial compensation in the form of "at least" $1 million.
