NEW YORK, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Universal Music Enterprises in New York plans to offer special reissues of 11 early albums from famed English musician Elvis Costello.
Billboard.com reported that the company recently purchased the rights to the albums, and despite previous reissues, has promised it will deliver fans both limited edition and definitive versions.
Universal's marketing concept would seem based on a previous comment made by the 51-year-old singer.
"When you've got a record that maybe didn't reach its audience in its time, you have to use a bit of imagination in the way that you present it, to make it seem as if it might be worth investigating now." Costello had said during a 2001 Billboard interview.
The company's Web site said the purchased albums included Costello's "Trust," Blood and Chocolate," "This Year's Model," "Get Happy!," "Armed Forces," Imperial Bedroom," Punch the Clock," "Almost Blue," "King of America," "My Aim is True," and "Goodbye Cruel World."
