LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- U.S. bassist William "Bootsy" Collins is getting his funk on with some old holiday standards for his first Christmas album.

"Christmas is 4-Ever" will include guest spots by rapper Snoop Dogg, country music's Charlie Daniels and rock guitarist Buckethead, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

The album includes four compositions by Collins and variations on nine traditional favorites, including "Winter Wonderland" and "The Christmas Song."

A country interpretation of "Sleigh Ride" is delivered by Daniels and features vocals by Sugarfoot of the Ohio Players. Snoop Dogg raps on "Happy Holidaze," while musicians Fred Wesley, Bobby Byrd, Blackbyrd McKnight and Bernie Worrell chime in.

Collins' re-arrangements of some old standbys include "Dis-christmiss" ("This Christmas"), "Boot-off" ("Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer") and "Winter Funkyland" ('Winter Wonderland").

The album on the Shout! Factory label will be on store shelves Oct. 31.
