Talent agency sues Snipes for payment

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A Hollywood talent agency is suing actor Wesley Snipes for $1.5 million for his alleged failure to pay the agreed percentage for four film roles it helped him win.

United Talent Agency's suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims Snipes, 44, orally agreed to give the firm a 10 percent cut of his $13 million salary for "Blade: Trinity," as well as similar cuts for "Middle Man," "The Shooter" and "Chaos," E! Online reported.

UTA, which no longer represents Snipes, said it was paid only $716,690 for the third "Blade" film and is still owed $10,000 for "Chaos" as well as $400,000 from "Middle Man" and $500,000 from "The Shooter."

The latter titles are three of the eight films Snipes currently has in pre- or post-production, E! said.
