'CSI: Miami' named top worldwide TV show

LONDON, July 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. TV drama "CSI: Miami" has been labeled the most popular show in the world for appearing in the most top 10 viewing charts from 20 countries.

The Informa Telecoms and Media survey found that the CBS series was merely the tip of the iceberg when it came to its executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who also contributed producing credits to two other series on the survey's top 10, the BBC said.

Bruckheimer doubled-up near the middle of the survey with "CSI" coming in sixth and his missing persons series "Without a Trace" taking seventh.

"Lost" came in second overall with "Desperate Housewives" in a close third, while animated series "The Simpsons" and "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" came in at fifth and 10th respectively.

Not to be lost in the flood of U.S. series, Spanish series "Te Voy a Ensenar a Querer," "Inocente de Ti," and "Anita, No Te Rajes!" came in at fourth, eighth, and ninth overall, the BBC reported.
