LOS ANGELES, July 27 (UPI) -- Kevin Bacon is set to direct the season finale of the TV series "The Closer," in which his wife Kyra Sedgwick plays a driven Los Angeles police detective.
It will be Bacon's first involvement with the hit cable show, but far from the first time he has directed Sedgwick, his wife of nearly 18 years, Zap2it.com reported.

The couple worked together on the Showtime film "Losing Chase" and most recently in the movie "Loverboy" -- both directed by Bacon.
The two-part season finale will not air until the of the year. TNT has decided that while the series will end its regular season run in September, the finale will be put off until December, the Web site said.
