PASADENA, Calif., July 22 (UPI) -- Pop star Madonna is planning to star in a two-hour London concert special on NBC.
Zap2it.com reported that camera crews will film her August performance at London's Wembley Stadium, which will air on NBC during the November sweeps.
The decision comes two years after a planned concert special on CBS was canceled due to differences between the singer and the network on how the concert should be presented.
However, that is likely not to be an issue this time around, Zap2it.com reported. Madonna is one of the executive producers of the NBC special, along with Guy Oseary and Angela Becker.
"Madonna is one of the greatest artists of our time and never fails to generate excitement," says Kevin Reilly, president of NBC Entertainment. "We think this is going to be a big event for television."
