Rolling Stones may perform at Foxboro

BOSTON, July 19 (UPI) -- The Rolling Stones may wrap up their "Bigger Bang" tour with a limited series of U.S. shows, including a gig at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

Citing a source close to the band, the Boston Herald reported the legendary rock group will likely give a maximum of eight stadium shows, including one at the home of the New England Patriots, once it has wrapped up it European tour.

"They will only do a handful of shows," the source told the paper. "They'll have all new staging, and a really great opening act. It should be very cool."

The Stones' tour has overcome bassist Ron Wood's visit to rehab and Keith Richard's brain surgery -- following a fall from a coconut tree in Fiji -- and is still predicted to end up as highest-grossing concert tour of all time, the Herald said.
