LONDON, July 17 (UPI) -- As suspense builds over the release of "Casino Royal," British director Roger Michell is negotiating to head the next 007 film, tentatively titled "Bond 22."
Both "Casino Royale" and "Bond 22," starring the newest Agent 007 Daniel Craig, are being produced by Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Inc., the Hollywood Reporter said.
Michell and Craig worked together on the 2004 drama, "Enduring Love."
Previous credits for Michell include directing "Changing Lanes" and "Notting Hill."
"Bond 22" still needs fleshing out, but Hollywood Reporter sources say the story is based on an idea from Bond producer Michael Wilson. EON Productions is still searching for a screen writer.
