Broadway sex harassment suit thrown out

NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- A sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Broadway producer Dede Harris by Martian Entertainment has been tossed out by a New York judge.

The New York Daily News reported that Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Herman Cahn dismissed the lawsuit and fined both Martian Entertainment and its lawyer $5,000 apiece for "pursuing frivolous ... litigation."

The lawsuit had claimed the sexual advances of the Tony-award winning producer forced three cast members to quit the play "Dog Sees God," prompting one ex-producer to file the suit against her, the newspaper said.
