Nelly Furtado holds No.1 spot for 3rd week

NEW YORK, July 13 (UPI) -- Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" featuring Timbaland held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week.

Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" reached a new peak at to No. 2 while Cassie's "Me & U" jumped to No. 3, Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean fell to No. 4 and also lost the top spot on the Hot Latin Songs chart to Don Omar's "Angelito."

Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down" held the No. 5 spot and Rihanna's "Unfaithful" climbed to No. 6.

Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" slid to No. 7, while Lil Jon's "Snap Yo Fingers" featuring E-40 & Sean Paul Of The YoungBloodZ climbed to No. 8.

Chamillionaire's "Ridin'" featuring Krayzie Bone dropped to No. 9 and the Fray's "Over My Head (Cable Car)" rounded out the Top 10.

'Rescue Me' to return for another season

LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- The FX network has decided to run "Rescue Me" for a fourth season.

The decision came after the show enjoyed a substantial ratings increase and a bit of controversy over a June episode, the next season will likely start in spring 2007, Zap2it.com reported Thursday.

"Rescue Me" is a key part of one of FX's stated goals, which is to foster some of the best episodic series on television," FX President John Landgraf said. "(The cast and crew) have done an incredible job on Season Three and the audience and critics responded with continued loyalty and passion. We are enormously proud of this series and of Denis (Leary's) Emmy nomination for best actor."

This season of "Rescue Me" has drawn about 2.9 million viewers a week, which is a 10-percent increase over Season Two.

The show has seen some controversy lately with a scene in June in which Leary's character sexually assaulted his estranged wife.


Clint Brewer will not face charges

LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- Photographer Clint Brewer, who was arrested last month at Maddox Jolie-Pitt's Malibu daycare center, will not face charges.

The Los Angeles district attorney's office confirmed that Brewer, who was supposedly caught hiding in the bushes in order to snap a picture of Maddox will not face charges, e!Online reported Thursday.

"After our investigation, the bottom line is there was insufficient evidence to file," spokeswoman Jane Robison said.

Police arrested Brewer on June 22 after employees at the daycare center allegedly spotted him inside the fenced-off yard of the preschool and made a citizen's arrest. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor trespassing and released on $1,000 bail.


Montel Williams is engaged

NEW YORK, July 13 (UPI) -- Talk show host Montel Williams marked his 50th birthday by proposing to his girlfriend, Tara Fowler.

"I feel like I have a true partner," said Williams at his birthday party in New York City on Wednesday night, People Magazine reported.

Williams and Fowler mat a year and a half ago in Florida.

He made the proposal to Fowler, an American Airlines flight attendant, at New York restaurant "Tavern on the Green" with both of their families looking on.

This will be the third marriage for Williams, who has two children from each of his previous marriages.
