TORONTO, July 9 (UPI) -- Brian May of the rock group Queen, says a musical based on the group's songs is set to replace "The Lord Of the Rings" musical in Toronto.

CBC News said May wrote in a commentary in the Ottawa Citizen that "We Will Rock You" is set to open next year at the Princess of Wales theater. He said the musical will replace "The Lord of the Rings," which has suffered from unfavorable reviews.

But the guitarist says "there will be no crowing" because he caught a show of "The Lord of the Rings" while the band was in Toronto, and branded it "... potentially one of the great theatrical events ever."
