Kidman bouquet was passed along

SYDNEY, July 7 (UPI) -- The guest who caught the bouquet at actress Nicole Kidman's wedding to singer Keith Urban in Sidney passed the flowers on to Urban's parents.

Kidman tossed the bouquet from a balcony and it landed in front of Evelyn White, of New Zealand, a friend of the groom's parents, The Australian reported. She denied fighting off the other women to grab the bouquet.

"What can a girl do when it falls at her feet?" White asked the New Zealand Herald.

White didn't consider it to be an omen, although she was delighted to have the bouquet of peonies, gardenias and roses.

"I'd love to get married again, but there was no wedding bell in front of that bouquet," said the retirement village manager.

New Zealand has biosecurity laws that would have prevented her from bringing the bouquet home anyway, so she gave the flowers away.

The Oscar-winning Kidman married country singer Urban on June 25 in a cliff-top church in the bride's home town. Both bride and groom were raised in Australia.
