Drew Sarich stars in 'Jacques Brel' revue

NEW YORK, July 7 (UPI) -- Drew Sarich has joined the cast for the revival of "Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris."

Sarich is known for portraying Armand in the short-lived musical "Lestat," Playbill reported.

He is replacing Rodney Hicks in the revue of the life and work of Belgian composer Jacques Brel. The cast also includes Gay Marshall, Robert Cuccioli and Natascia Diaz.

Sarich, who made his Broadway debut in "Lestat," has spent the past six years performing in European productions of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and "Jekyll and Hyde," among other productions.

"Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" may be the first-ever jukebox musical -- a show built around a collection of tunes by a pop artist or act. The revival began its run at The Zipper Theater in Manhattan on July 7.
