
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 6 (UPI) -- TNT miniseries "Into the West" led the Emmy Award nominations Thursday, followed by network drama series "24" and "Grey's Anatomy."
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominations Thursday, awarding 16 nominations to "Into the West." Fox's "24" and ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," both up for the Outstanding Drama Series award, earned 12 and 11 nominations, respectively.
Rounding out the Outstanding Drama Series category are "House," "The Sopranos," and "The West Wing."
Outstanding Comedy Series nominations went to "Arrested Development," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Office," "Scrubs," and "Two and a Half Men."
Competing with "Into the West" in the Outstanding Miniseries category are "Bleak House," "Elizabeth I," and "Sleeper Cell."
Other nominees include actors Denis Leary, Peter Krause, Martin Sheen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Kaczmarek, Will Arnett, Stockard Channing, Jeremy Piven, Frances Conroy, and William Shatner.
The 58th Annual Prime-Time Emmy Awards, hosted by Conan O'Brien, is scheduled to air Aug. 27.
