GLASGOW, Scotland, July 4 (UPI) -- Comedian Billy Connolly, singer Annie Lennox and actress Tilda Swinton Tuesday received honorary degrees from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Connolly, 63, said, "I feel totally different. It's like the first time you wear a tuxedo and you feel like Cary Grant," the Glasgow Evening Times reported Tuesday.
Swinton said she was "greatly honored" by the award and former Eurythmics singer Lennox, 51, said she hopes the awards will inspire others.
"From what I've learned about RSAMD there is a great deal of talent in there," Lennox said.
