Sprain forces Jerry Hall to miss b'day

LONDON, July 3 (UPI) -- Jerry Hall, the former Mrs. Mick Jagger, canceled plans to celebrate her birthday in Dublin, Ireland, with 150 friends after falling while dancing.

The festivities in honor of Hall's 50th birthday had been scheduled for Sunday night at Leixlip Castle just outside the Irish capital.

A friend told the Daily Mail that Hall sprained her ankle at a birthday party for someone else on Thursday.

"She could barely stand up, let alone walk," the friend said. "Jerry is devastated. She has been planning this party for months."

Hall, a native of Texas, was one of the world's top models. She and Jagger have four children.

Since the breakup, she has been living near London with her children and has been involved in a number of activities -- from appearances on the London stage to being a judge of the Whitbread Book Awards.
