SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 30 (UPI) -- A voicemail recording and videotaping of Michael Jackson presented in a Santa Monica Superior court over a $3.8 breach of contract revealed his two personas.

Howard King, lawyer for Marc Schaffel, Jackson's former producer, argued that the singer knew how his business affairs were being handled, the Daily News reported.

Jackson's lawyer, Thomas Mundell, claimed his client did not owe Schaffel $3.8 million and accused him of cooking Jackson's books.

"Marc, call (Florida businessman) Al Malnik. I do not want any ifs, ands or buts about releasing 'What More Can I Give' at this point," a voicemail from Jackson ordered.

"Do it now. Do it now, Okay? Tell Al I want a big deal made out of this. ... Listen to me musically. This is my department," Jackson said sharply and hung up.

But in a videotaped deposition on Sept. 23, 2005, Jackson meekly answered that he wasn't sure of the status of his accounts.

"Did you ever pay him?" King asked Jackson.

"I don't know. I don't know," Jackson wavered. "I'm sure he got money."
