Spelling family feud thickens after death

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- The wife and son of the late California TV producer Aaron Spelling accused his daughter Tori of causing "hurtful and very disturbing" tabloid headlines.

Aaron Spelling, 83, producer of several hit TV series, including "90210," "Charlie's Angels" and "Charmed," died June 23. Tori Spelling who starred in "90210," said she had learned of her father's death via a message from a friend on her BlackBerry, Us Weekly reported.

"My first thought was, I can't believe my mom didn't call me!" she told the magazine.

Tori Spelling said her mother's behavior had caused her to keep a distance from the family, Us Weekly said. In a recent news release, Tori Spelling said, however, "I am grateful that I recently had the opportunity to reconcile with my father."

"Aaron's legacy deserved pure and unadulterated tribute and recognition which, sadly, has been tainted," the family said.

Comments from the "Spelling Family," are believed to be from Aaron Spelling's widow, Candy, and his son, Randy.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times last weekend, Randy Spelling, speaking through Aaron Spelling's publicist Kevin Sasaki, insisted the Spelling family members love one another.
