Leary gives scathing 'Playboy' interview

June 30, 2006 at 9:14 PM   |   Comments

NEW YORK, June 30 (UPI) -- Denis Leary, known for his outspokenness, singles out several Hollywood celebrities for sharp criticism in a new Playboy interview.

Leary accused Adam Sandler of doing "the same thing over and over ... playing the retard-goofball crazy guy," Us Weekly reported, and criticized Paris Hilton for appearing in her infamous sex video.

The star of TV's "Rescue Me" also suggested a rather earthy idea for rewarding U.S. presidents who perform well in office.

"If he's doing a good job, Keira Knightley gets told, 'Part of your job is to (bleep) the president ... then we'll put you in a big movie.'"

Leary -- a former Catholic schoolboy -- also spoke of his religious roots, saying the Catholic Church has "enough money to throw around and settle molestation suits," Us Weekly said.
