Cosby trades one show for another

NEW YORK, June 30 (UPI) -- Rita Cosby has lost her U.S. cable TV show "Rita Cosby: Live & Direct," but has gained an anchor job with MSNBC's new documentary series "MSNBC Investigates."

Cosby's talk show will end in early July, and her new weeknight series begins several weeks after that on the third-rated cable news network, The New York Daily News reported.

"This is an exciting opportunity, and now you're going to see even more of me at 10 and 11, on MSNBC and also on NBC," Cosby said.

In addition to the documentary series, Cosby is set to lead a "Rita Cosby Specials" documentary unit for MSNBC, the Daily News said.

MSNBC is also moving "The Situation with Tucker Carlson" from its 11 p.m. weeknight time slot to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays, The New York Post reported.
