Nutter's pilots predict more wins for WB

LOS ANGELES, June 26 (UPI) -- David Nutter, who has produced 12 successful TV pilots, signed a three-year contract with Los Angeles' Warner Bros. to create and direct one pilot per year.

Nutter's successes began in 1995 with "Space: Above and Beyond" for Fox. He then made "Millennium," "Sleepers," "Roswell," "Dark Angel," "Smallville," "Without a Trace," "Tarzan," "Jack & Bobby," "Dr. Vegas" and "Supernatural," Daily Variety reported.

ABC recently picked up Nutter's "Traveler."

Nutter said he tries "not to think about the streak or the network," when he is considering a concept, but trusts his gut.

Nutter credits the executives at Warner Bros. TV who have allowed him the creative freedom to do what he wants. His contract with Warner Bros. began in 2000.

In addition to pilots, Nutter has also worked on HBO's "Entourage" and "The Sopranos" as well as FX's "Nip/Tuck."

Nutter won an Emmy for his work on "Band of Brothers."
