Depp not done with Capt. Jack Sparrow

LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- Hollywood's Johnny Depp says he's not ready to bid farewell to Capt. Jack Sparrow, his character in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies.

Two decades after Depp's first feature role in "A Nightmare on Elm Street," he earned an Oscar nomination in 2003 for playing the dissolute captain in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl."

The sequel -- "Dead Man's Chest" -- is coming to theaters next month, and work is under way on a third "Pirates" feature. That suits Depp just fine.

"I just feel like I'm not done," he was quoted as saying on Dark Horzons. "I just feel like there are more things you could do. Because, I suppose, with a character like this, the parameters are a little broader, so there are more possibilities."
