LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- Actress Selma Blair has filed for divorce from musician Ahmet Zappa in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences."
Blair, 34, and the 32-year-old Zappa were married in 2004 following a six-month courtship. Their impending divorce has not left the actress with any ill will, a spokesman for the actress told E! Online.
"Selma and Ahmet have decided to divorce but love each other very much and will continue to be close friends," said spokesman Troy Nankin.
The marriage was the first for both Blair and Zappa, the Web site reported.
Zappa's first novel, "The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless," is due in stores July 25. Blair recently finished production on the upcoming films, "The Night of the White Pants" and "Purple Violets."
