CADIZ, Spain, June 22 (UPI) -- Actress Penélope Cruz is basking in the sun near Cadiz, Spain, with "Manolete" co-star Adrien Brody as she prepares for two new film roles.
Cast as Lupe Sino in "Manolete," Cruz plays Antoñita "Lupe" Sino, the love interest for Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez, a bullfighter famous during the 1930s and 1940s.
Cruz will segue from "Manolete" to a role as a turn-of-the-century flamenco dancer who becomes romantically involved with a maharaja in "Indian Passion." Not only will Cruz act in the drama, she will also produce, through her new company, 88 Productions, hellomagazne.com reported.
Cruz said her headstrong personality could prove to be an asset in her role as a producer.
"I am stubborn," Cruz said. "That might not be a great trait in other areas of life, but I think it will come in handy when I become a producer."
