PORT WASHINGTON, Wis., June 18 (UPI) -- Actor Dustin Diamond is selling T-shirts on the Internet in attempt to stave off the foreclosure of his Port Washington, Wis., home.

Known by millions as Screech from the 1990s teen comedy, "Saved By the Bell," Diamond, 29, told the Milwaukee Sentinel he needs to unload an estimated 30,000 of the shirts -- and come up with $250,000 -- in order to keep his house from reverting back to the holder of his land contract.

Diamond entered into the land contract back in 2003, saying he could not qualify for a conventional mortgage because he filed for bankruptcy in 2001.

The actor says he does not abuse drugs or alcohol and has never been arrested -- this is merely "an injustice that could happen to anyone."

Roles have been few and far between since "Saved by the Bell" and he has been eking out a living on the stand-up comedy circuit.

Diamond's T-shirts are being sold via www.getdshirts.com for $15.
