The book is described as a serious oral history of the future of zombies told from many perspectives from around the world.

Brooks came out with "Zombie Survival Guide," in 2003, which explained in detail how to survive an impending zombie apocalypse. The book went on to become a surprise cult hit.

"War Z" hits bookstores this fall.
