Lithgow's 'Paloozaville' coming to TV

NEW YORK, June 15 (UPI) -- New York-based television network Mag Rack has announced that actor John Lithgow will star in its new children's TV series "Paloozaville."

Lithgow, a winner of both Tony and Golden Globe awards, created the 20-part children's entertainment series in part from his bestselling children's books.

"I'm thrilled to join forces with Mag Rack," Lithgow said. "Together our goal is to expand opportunities for fun, creative play for children, and to educate them without their knowing it!"

"Paloozaville" will air on the company's on-demand program "Kids Club" and feature a virtual town in which Lithgow -- in his role as the town's mayor -- will help guide viewers through creative projects they can work on at home.

"'Paloozaville' is raising the bar for on-demand children's programming," Vice President of Programming Cyndy Cecil said. "Already top choice with parents because of the convenience and control, our KIDS CLUB show is now creating a unique opportunity for the whole family to join in the fun."
