LONDON, June 10 (UPI) -- U.S. rockers Korn were forced to take the stage at England's Download rock festival Saturday without frontman Jonathan Davis.

Davis was admitted to an unspecified British hospital Saturday and there were no immediate details on his condition or ailment, NME.com reported.

The rest of the band was set to play an abbreviated 30-minute set on the main stage at Donington Park with a variety of guests filling in for the missing vocalist, the magazine's Web site reported.

Korn is following a path already forged by another U.S. band, NME.com noted. Two years ago Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich was sidelined by a medical emergency and the drummers from Slipknot and Slayer handled the kit for Metallica's headlining set.

Metallica was Saturday's headliner again this year, with Guns 'N Roses set to close out the weekend festival Sunday.
