CBS signs deal with Apple

NEW YORK, June 9 (UPI) -- Subscribers to iTunes can now watch the CBS reality series "Survivor," and all three versions of "CSI," "Numbers" and "NCIS" for $1.99 per episode.

Under a deal CBS signed with Apple, the 2005-06 seasons will be available on iTunes immediately, while episodes from the 2006-07 season will be available shortly after they air on television, Crain's New York Business reported Friday.

"Seasonally we like the idea of putting up shows for the summer because we want to build interest for the fall," said Larry Kramer, president of CBS Digital Media.

CBS teamed up with Apple earlier this year to offer the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and Showtime's "Sleeper Cell" and "Weeds" series on iTunes.

The agreement marks CBS's latest online partnership since breaking off from Viacom in December.
