Petty to headline 'Rock'n the Rally'

STURGIS, S.D., May 18 (UPI) -- Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will headline the "Rock'n the Rally" music festival at South Dakota's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

The five-day music festival kicks off Aug. 6 at a 34-acre amphitheater in the black hills near Sturgis, S.D., E! Online reported.

An estimated 50,000 bikers rolled into Sturgis last year for the rally's 65th anniversary, E! noted.

Other bands lined up to play during the inaugural "Rock'n the Rally" fest include the Black Crowes, Nickelback, Keith Urban, Sammy Hagar, Live, the Gin Blossoms, Big and Rich, Joe Cocker, the Steve Miller Band, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf and 38 Special. More bands will be added in the days to come, organizers said.

Tickets go on sale March 10 at www.starticketplus.com for $50 to $70.
