SAN ANTONIO, May 12 (UPI) -- The one-story Victorian house where actress Carol Burnett grew up in San Antonio is on the market for $225,000.
Although the average market value in the neighborhood in $68,100, the former Burnett abode boasts three bedrooms and three baths, hardwood floor, a big front porch and of course, lots of celebrity value, the San Antonio Express-News reported Friday.
The realtor handling the sale received 12 calls within the first 15 minutes of putting the "For Sale" sign out from, the newspaper said.
And the phone hasn't stopped ringing.
"It's just people, all kinds of people, who have been calling me," real estate agent Karen Kirk-Polan said. "I'm swamped."
Burnett, born in 1933, was raised in the house by her maternal grandmother, Mabel Eudora White.
Although they moved to California while she was in elementary school, the house has become a San Antonio landmark and draws tourists on a regular basis, the newspaper said. It has been vacant since its most recent owner died last year.
