USA Net working with Mel Gibson on series

LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- The USA Network said Wednesday was working with Mel Gibson's production company to develop an Iraqi war drama for the cable network.

The six-hour, fact-based series called "Peace Out" will follow two U.S. men who head to Iraq in search of adventure, The Hollywood Reporter said.

USA also announced Wednesday a limited series for next season based on "The Starter Wife," Gigi Levangie Grazer's novel about a woman's transformation after her marriage to a studio mogul ends.

USA said it would also jump on the telenova bandwagon with two late-night series slated to run three nights a week for 13 weeks.

A new broadband Flash player will be introduced on USA's Web site to stream the season premiere of "Monk" and the series premiere of "Psych" on June 30.
