NEW YORK, May 9 (UPI) -- Sources are quoted in the New York Post saying ABC is giving "The View's" Star Jones her walking papers.
Rosie O'Donnell, who is coming aboard to replace Meredith Vieira, demanded Jones' outster as a condition of her employment, sources told The Post.
Furthermore, Barbara Walters, who holds the reins of the daily talk show, "really can't stand her," the source said of Jones.
"It was always Rosie's condition of joining the show, and Barbara agreed to those conditions from the outset," the source said.
The source said talk of Jones moving on to pursue new projects is merely a face-saving move by the network and the Jones camp -- which have both denied the Post report.
The Post said speculation is that Oprah Winfrey's best friend, Gayle King, will replace Jones on "The View."
