Garner in talks for big screen thriller

LOS ANGELES, May 5 (UPI) -- As "Alias" winds up its TV run, there is word in Hollywood that its star, Jennifer Garner, is eyeing a return to film in the thriller, "The Kingdom."

Peter Berg ("Friday Night Lights") is directing the Universal Pictures story about an FBI team investigating a terrorist bombing in the Middle East, the Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper have already been cast in the story by Matthew Michael Carnahan.

Garner's other film credits include "13 Going On 30" and "Elektra."

ABC's "Alias" airs its finale May 22.
