NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable TV music channel VH1 has crowned Black Sabbath's 1971 "Iron Man" as the No. 1 metal song of all time.
Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach is the host of VH1's "40 Greatest Metal Songs," which culminates Thursday with the Top 10 metal songs of all time, VH1 said in a news release Wednesday.
The countdown features commentary from Lars Ulrich, Scott Ian, Jerry Cantrell, Ronnie James Dio, Toni Iommi, Dave Mustaine, Lemmy Kilmister, David Draiman of Disturbed, Frank Bello, Riki Rachtman, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, Evan Seinfeld of Biohazard, Tera Patrick, Chris Jericho, Doro Pesch and Dee Snider, among others.
No. 2 on the list is Guns N' Roses' 1987 "Welcome to the Jungle," with Metallica's "Master of Puppets," AC/DC's "Back in Black" and Judas Priest's "You've Gotta Another Thing Coming" filling out the Top 5.
