LOS ANGELES, April 27 (UPI) -- CBS TV's "Touched by an Angel" writer/executive producer Burt Pearl has died of lymphoma age 49, Daily Variety reported in Los Angeles Thursday.
Pearl, who executive produced and wrote for the hit drama from 1996 to 2003, died April 6.

The St. Louis native wrote for several TV series including "The Highwayman," "Riptide," "The A-Team," "J.J. Starbuck," "Jesse Hawkes," "Something Is Out There" and "Hardball."
He is survived by his partner, his parents, a stepmother, two sisters and a brother.
