LOS ANGELES, April 21 (UPI) -- After 24 years of flipping letters on U.S. TV, "Wheel of Fortune's" Vanna White has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"I remember my parents telling me, at the age of 10, 'You can do anything you want,'" White, 49, told the crowed gathered Thursday, Zap2it.com reported.
"Wheel of Fortune" creator Merv Griffin called White "America's Sweetheart."
She was flanked by her father, Griffin, "Wheel" host Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek of "Jeopardy!" during the unveiling.
