Sharon Stone settles into new digs

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 17 (UPI) -- "Basic Instinct 2" star Sharon Stone spent nearly $11 million for a home with 5 acres in the Beverly Hills area.

The 9,000-square-foot mansion was built in 1991 and completely refurbished two years ago, the Los Angeles Times reported. It boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms along with a detached, two-bedroom guest house and a state-of-the-art media room plus a gym.

The gated property is on a private road near the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Times said. Its acreage includes bridges, waterfalls, a tennis court, pool, gardens, fruit trees and mountain views.

Stone, 48, is a Christian Dior model and reportedly got $14 million for her latest screen role. She and San Francisco Chronicle editor Phil Bronstein were divorced in 2004.
